This feels like an idealised portrai, and certainly, Angelina Jolie is considered to be a flawless beauty by many people. I was curious to know how your drawing might compare to the original photo (you should credit your reference sources on deviantart, by the way). After a bit of searching, I managed to find the photo here: [link] I can appreciate how you have dramatically altered the lighting and have created a dark, sensual mood in your portrait, and this has been enhanced by your soft shading. Through comparing your artwork with the photo, I can see how you have idealised certain elements, such as her eyes and her chin. While the heavy make up you have added to her eyes grant the portrait a romantic, and sultry look, there are some anatomical flaws and I believe these have been caused by the dark shadow about her right eye & the mouth & chin area - these shadows are too dark and have caused the contours/outline of her face to be lost into the black of the background, while at the same time they cause the too bright white of her right eye to jar to the viewer - I think this could be improved by toning down the brightness of the eye. I like that you have adapted the photo and how you have made your own interpretation of it work well on the whole. And I think the tattoo signature is a lovely original touch. Keep up the good work, you have some very lovely portraits in your gallery.
